I'm probably one of only a few people who have not got a mobile phone and never have. However, I think I may get one for emergencies.

Does anyone know if they manufacture earpieces that answer the telephone automatically? If I'm driving, I can't really answer the telephone, you get fined 60 quid if you do that in the UK.

Honestly, I know nothing about mobile phones, absolutely not a clue.

If u thinking about talking while driving get a phone with Bluetooth. and get a bluetooth headset. All you gota do is hang it on your ear while driving and if u get a phone call u just answer by press a button on the headset it self. Not really sure about answering automatically tho. But its not hard pressing a button on the headset.

I have a 7 inch monitor in my truck with bluetooth built in. when i get a phone call i just press the green phone on my screen and talk .

You also get some pretty cheap Bluetooth car systems from a company called Parrot that integrate to your radio and such, chatting to the phone using Bluetooth and then it will auto-answer after 5 rings or whatever if connected.

Might be other brands over there as well.

Thanks for that, I will have a good look and see what I can find.

I have to laugh though, these systems are promoting safe driving because you don't need to take your hands off the steering wheel to choose the music etc. however, you have to take your eyes off the road to see what you're doing, is that really any safer?

The Bluetooth isn't dangerous at all, all you have to do is touch your ear to answer it and you don't have to look away from the road.
If you can't beat them...arrange to have them beaten!

Hey boss.

On my phone, If I have my bluetooth connected I can set the phone to answer automatically after 3 rings. So no need to touch anything. Hope this helps. And good luck!

Actually, I was referring to the system that includes music.

I like the idea of the telephone answering itself after several rings, that sounds exactly what I'm looking for

Believe me, I only want a mobile phone for emergencies.when I was a kid, a mobile phone was the size of a house brick, probably just as heavy & cost around £1500, and no doubt cost £50 a minute to use

good day boss.... according to study, eating food or drinking water while
driving is more dangerous than answering the phone (handfree).

I have to laugh though, these systems are promoting safe driving because you don't need to take your hands off the steering wheel to choose the music etc. however, you have to take your eyes off the road to see what you're doing, is that really any safer?

in my case, i can select any program in my celphone, music, news, or call by designating a certain button for each function. its hassle free. you don't have to look at eat. just listen while pressing the button without removing my focus on the road.
