How does this karma thing work?

It's like your rating, i guess. People can up or lower other people's karma, but you can't change your own.

Do you up and down it with the thumbs up and thumbs down sign?

Not quite sure why karma was used. My understanding of the word karma means that depending on what you like in one life will govern what your next life is like. You do hear people saying bad karma and good karma. Anyway, on here, it's basically a way of anonymously showing your appreciation, or dissatisfaction of people who use the forum. Not quite sure how you're supposed to know if someone is giving you good or bad karma though
