This post is probably a little bit late for anyone who is looking at it later on, but if you happen to see in the next couple of minutes, there is a good program starting on National Geographic wild at 1 PM called " Hooked - Monster Fishing" have absolutely no idea what it's about, but it sounds pretty good

love that show. they go catch the biggest fish of course! like the mekong giant catfish and alligator gars and the giant freshwater stingray... stuff of amazing proportions!

lol in one episode the guy is fishing for pirarucu and he talks about how he had one jump out out of the water... hit him in the chest, and broke many ribs got a punctured lung and nearly dies...

hes a braver man than me! you wouldnt catch me in that water EVER! forget the snakes, caymen, piranas, and all the other stuff that bites, candiru is what scares me the most!

one of the guides on the fist episode today said he saw the fish jump 2 ft and grab a monkey fron a tree !!!!!!!!!!!!! id pay good money to witness that

i recall seein a vid of an arowana taking a hummingbird on the wing, but a monkey... wow. any mention of the fish type that did that?
