I recently bought a new television and CD player with hard drive. They both are equipped with a technology called Viera which enables you to control everything off the television control. It also means you can buy other appliances that can be connected together and you can control everything off the one control. Just wondered if anybody else has this technology? It really is fantastic and make things so much easier. I can't stand having loads of controls lying around. Obviously, all the appliances have to be the same make.

Personally i think it looks cool to have several remote controls, however it does get a bit much sometimes (i have 6) so i do see your point OFL

The thing is, I spend most of my time in front of the computer, I've got big flat screen on the wall and my fish tank in the same room as I am really at home here. I have loads of books next me so the last thing I need is hundreds of remote controls. Hopefully I'm getting one of those systems that you can play DVDs on. You can't record, is just for playing movies. It also has an 80 GB hard drive to store your MP3s on. Problem is, as £800 although I think you can get it for around £600 on the Internet. I'm hoping it will come down in price because it's new. It's made by a Panasonic table work great on my system, and off the same remote control. All the songs will come on the telly so you can choose which ones you want to play without any hassle
