yap, they are so cute. and i love to watch them rolling the pellets to
their mouth.. two big long claws and four small feet with claws too tearing
the pellet and pushing the bits to its mouth...amazing....

Are they like ghost shrimp where you can see inside their stomach?

yap, they are... to the last detail.... almost transparent.
we call them fresh water shrimp (ulang) but someone in the site
called them grass shrimp...when i goggled it, that is exactly
what we have.

if you have goldfish i doubt you will get many babies if any. they are pretty voracious when they find something small and tasty in the substrate like baby shrimps lol.

actually, no need to wait for the fries. i had put plenty of small shrimps,
less than 1/2 inch body size; only those that has 1 inch or longer body
remains inside the tank...the rest...no where to be found

Nice project.
How big is your tank and how much wouldt you have to breed to feed your fish for a month?
How fast (or slow) do they grow?
I'd love to try a project like that, would be something completely new to look at.
Hope they grow fast enough the stay food and not become pets!!!lol

i have bought glass shrimp 50 at a time from walmart, and i find that probably 1/4 of them are females with eggs under their tails. one of these days im going setup a 10 gallon tank just for them so i can try and breed them.

@Win, yes, i had released some shrimp with eggs in their belly and hopefully will
