Lol, nah I was actually trying to make fun of myself because it sometimes really annoys me that I type half a page to say something, and then comes a bloke and says the same thing in one short sentence. So when it comes to males being inferior, it might mean they're just not as good at making a short story long

Actually, I used to live in Germany when I was very young, Hamburg to be precise. Can't really remember much about it. Unfortunately, I no longer speak the language. Apparently I spoke German as a three-year-old, probably limited as three-year-olds do, however, I understood it as well as any other German child, so my parents tell me. but obviously I lost the ability once we moved back to the UK.

Thanks Penn. I've been spending quite some years on the net already reading up on fish, that helps with becoming familiar with the language, so I can hopefully be understood most of the time. Sometimes my English gets me into confusing or embarrassing situations though. And while writing is no big deal anymore, I have problems with talking and understanding, glad Mr Bean doesn't speak fast.

That's cool you lived in Hamburg. Been there a few times but haven't seen much of it yet. I'd love to go to the fish market there somewhen. And I like the way they talk there, cracks me up now imagining you once talked like that Yes, 3 years is really too young to remember much ... I needed way less time to forget almost everything I learned at school, lol. Now my kids start with English and Latin and maybe soon French at school, and I keep trying to dig out what I once might have known.

I haven't been to the UK yet unfortunately. There are quite some ppl from teh UK living here though, and the house we live in was originally built to give British army officers a home - looks a bit like a British townhouse. When I started renewing the flooring in the hallway some days ago, that was the first time I've ever seen gripperrods to fix a carpet, and it took me quite a while to find out that my stove/oven isn't broken but there is an extra switch to have electrical power for it - not common here, but i love it already.

Serious now, I was feeling a bit bad already about not having my data in the sig as it is asked on here, and I really like it myself to put a face to a name, but I unfortunately learned there are lots of weird ppl on the web, and many not being what they pretend to be (way more than I thought, sad as it is), so while I have nothing to hide, I personally would prefer not to have my personal data shown in the public for just anyone to see, if that's acceptable in any way.

Reminds me I've seen ppl using email-addies as username or similar, unless you're eager to get spammed by the least, I would encourage ppl not to do so. Posting the whole address even is something I can't understand at all.
