I've got an 80 gig iPod and there is a problem with it.

Basically, if you select an artist an album and then hit play, it just goes through all the songs one by one and doesn't play the first one. I have tried resetting it but it still does it, any ideas, or is it completely knackered?

I might add that I don't think it's the shuffle function, I have actually turned this off and it still does it

can you please clarify? I'm reading this that it starts with song #2 of the artist and doesn't play song #1?

the only thing I can think of is a firmware upgrade - if you hook your ipod to your PC and sync w/iTunes, it should scan to see if you need a firmware upgrade. maybe that will help

Yes, I can either choose a particular album, or a particular artist, whichever I choose when I arrive at the album and click play, it just scrolls through all the songs one by one and doesn't start playing the first one.

lol penn i have an ipod nano... that i can get to play the right song sometimes lmao... i hardly if ever use it since i have all the same music on my pc.
