I have been trying to educate her about British cooking and what she is missing out on. She has never had roast potatoes before, she attempted to cook some this evening, but instead of following my instructions, she cut the potatoes into tiny little pieces. Apparently they tasted nice but unfortunately were not proper roast potatoes. You ain't lived until you have tasted a proper roast potato.

well, in the farm cultivating for potato, we do it differently. though it is not
roasted the Briton way, it taste as good as that.
in the farm during harvest season, we do a bonfire, toss a lot of potato in there
and a few minute later, get what you can eat. it is an open fire roasting, full of
fun and excitement.
and we never worry who gonna do the dishes

I thought garlic was a requirement anyway... for anything you cook. Maybe I'm wrong but it is as important as milk is to cereal!
As for british food... the roasted potatoes are awesome but I miss the meat pies, the fish n chips the british way and ohhh the haggis. Now I need to plan a trip over there again.

Damn I'm drooling here!

Haggis, stuffed sheep stomach, lovely jubley
I don't think it is included in everything you cook, but a lot of people do like it.
We have got quite a few great fish and chip shops near us, a couple of them won some awards, absolutely lovely, I love fish and chips, although not too often, not good for your veins I'm afraid
