Did anyone hear this? Two contestants of the reality show I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here have been charged with animal cruelty because they killed and cooked a rat on the show. Apparently it is illegal to do it for show, in other words on a reality show. But it seems it's perfectly okay to do the same thing if the camera is not looking at you.

Now what I can't understand is it is okay to eat live worms, cockroaches, grubs for show but a rat is different. I could understand if they boiled the rat while it was still alive, but they didn't, they killed it very quickly and actually make use of it, they were not just killing it for no reason, unlike all the other little critters over the last three weeks.

Over the top... animal cruelty?? The people who brought those charges need to get busy looking for the real people who are cruel to animals... people with 20-30 cats, dogs etc. People that just don't care and let their animals breed and breed. Stories like that one make me

I think it is a complete and utter waste of money by the Australian authorities and they really should hang their heads in embarrassment. They are complaining about cruelty to a rats, on the other hand, they are using fish, snakes, rats and all sorts of other animals in all the trials that they do. I'm sure that a fish doesn't really want to be flushed into a great big container with a human being in there as well, or snakes manhandled the way they are. I can't see this going anywhere and if I was Gino, or the other dude I would just forget about it and let the Australians get on with it, everybody is laughing at them anyway for being so petty

I am pretty sure the charges will be dropped because they will have to pay for these guys to travel to Australia if they do want to press charges.
