Well I just got finished shoveling for 3 hours after getting getting about 16" of snow early this morning...is it bad to be sick of winter already? haha! I always say I'd miss the snow if I moved somewhere where there was none but days like today make me wonder!

I'm begging for snow this year! But alas here on the Oregon coast it's a rarity unless you go inland about 20 miles to some of the mountains. Although last year we did get a freak snow storm that dumped about a foot on us right here at the beach. It was funny to watch everyone freak out and drive like idiots. It's been a freakishly 20ºF and lower here the last several days and dry as a bone. This is the weather I hate. Makes your skin, lips, and sinuses all dry out and crack and bleed. Well...just my sinuses bleed. LOL Right now it should be about 37º and pouring down rain with 100% humidity. So bring on the snow already!!

it snowed here for the first time in years a few days ago... just for a bit... didnt even stick to the ground. everyone was still freaking out... my mothers husband actually dug out a set of snow chains from the shed and was like "im prepared" and 4 hours later you couldnt even tell it snowed bc it was melting when it hit the ground. lol snow makes people crazy

As you requested...pictures of all the whiteness! haha! I'm just glad to have a truck with 4 wheel drive this year! Most of the state is shutdown right now...the Governor declared a snow emergency...of course my work said we had to be there but I used a sick day anyway!

ikkie I'm jealous. That's what my yard looked like LAST year.

Yeah...now that the shoveling is done I am happy we'll at least have a white christmas this year. Haha...I would love to see Texas get this much...would be entertaining to watch the panic! My cousin lived down there a long time ago and they got an inch and a half of snow and shut down everything!

That's pretty much how it is here too. But in the town's defense it is mostly built on a steep hill. (Think mini-San Francisco, Victorian houses and all.) If the temp drops and there's a hint of black ice they close school because they don't want to risk the kids in school buses on the hills. Can't say as I blame them, but you'd think they'd learn how to drive in snow or ice.

Yeah I can see how steep hills and ice wouldn't play well together! Well, you'd think people here would know how to drive in snow by now but every year for the first couple snowfalls its like a moron demolition derby on the roads!
