Yep those are Tiger Barbs.. I don't knoe the fancy latin name.. I had them when I first started my tank. They are real fin nippers.. even in a group of 6 they chased and stressed everything in the tank. but three died in the cycle process and the other three I gave away. I hope you have better luck with them.

thank you guys and gals... yeah..i found out they are called tiger barbs..
and yes, they are fin nippers.... however, if they don't behave well, i
could easily put them in my big tank for the oscars...

that is if the wifey is not around..or else i will be in trouble

Paul, those look to me like a Zebra Cichlid. I can tell ya from the pic, that the pinkish one is a male, and the two orangeish ones are female. The third Orange one I can't tell...

Paul, keep the same water as you do with Oscars and give them lots of caves to hide in... They are very easy to keep. And they don't require near as much space as Osacrs.
They usually max out in size at about 6 inches. They are very active, and your Oscars will eat them!

Yip Tiger Barbs.
Note Barbs = Barbarians.
Not suitable for a community tank.I feed them to my Oscars, they love the chase.
