Another drug smuggling cretin gets caught smuggling drugs and complains that the law in that particular country is to harsh. Why go do it in that country then? i don't feel sorry for these people at all. If hes willing to take the profits of drug smuggling he needs to take the punishment. the punishment from the country he commits the crime in. if he comes to Britain and deals drugs our courts deal what they deem the law and suitable punishment. what the hell is wrong with these "do gooders" that want these people to get let off. It makes me angree, there are just too many people doing bad things and the law isn't anywhere near harsh enough. I need to be voted PM to sort this country out.

i completly agree,and also any one that steps on the lines on a pavement hang em all,happy new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but human kind is a different specie... we created our own law and we select
people to implement them....your frustration is no different with mine.

in my country, criminals are protected by the human right groups. if the law
enforcer use extra power in dealing with criminals, this group condemn the law
enforcer...but when criminals kills innocent people, they condemn the law
enforcer for not doing their job...

there are times i wish i am a member of a dreaded vigilante group....

If you commit an offense in another country then you must accept that you will be tried under their laws. Just because you are a Brit in China, that does not mean that you should be treated any different than one of their own citizens. Just his luck that he chose a country where drug smuggling carries the harshest penalty.

Some countries do not execute foreigners but I suspect that China are going to put this guy in front of the firing squad tomorrow. Let's hope this is a deterrent for any other idiot who want to smuggle drugs. He wants to thank his lucky stars he is not somewhere like Saudi Arabia where he would probably be publicly beheaded.

Tjwads stepping on lines in the pavements seams harsh to be hanged for may be just a good beating. No on a serious note do you disagree with serious punishment for serious crimes?? i find it very hard to believe when I read things likes rapist getting 2yrs. If punishment don't fit the crime how do we give the victim justice?

I have written and erased like 3 replies to this post. Let me just say that if you go to another country, you should follow their laws. If I go any further than that, you'll get me going on the illegal aliens (mexican mostly) that are in the US enjoying our free healthcare, food, housing, and working under the table so as not to have to pay us back by paying taxes. They don't think our laws apply to them either since they don't take the time to become citizens or get green cards. I'm done!
