i was thinking about keeping my mealworms in my room that way my o can try some of the bugs they turn into but im not sure what to keep them in or what they need if some people could tell me that would be great thanks heaps

You can get a "Critter keeper" but i just use the box they come in.
It's a box with some airholes in the lid.
The worms or bugs will not be able to climb the sides of the box.
I heard roomtemp is good, or you can put the worms in the hood of your tank if possible.
That'll keep them nice and warm and will speed up the changing.
Gotto to feed them, to get them changing, but you allready know this.

yer i just put some carrot in there dont i how do i give them water

IMO a piece of carrot would do for some moist.
No water needed.
I add some white bread or fishfood and see them munching away.

the worms are scavengers and will love oat, or cereal, or cornflakes.
Only thing that could be a con would be , that some food you feed to the worms may cloud your water more than others.
Feeding white bread is fe worst than feeding crushed pellets.
You just have to try.
The cloudiness will be gone in no timewhen your filters are working properly.
I sometimes feed the pupae to my fish, for they love those as well.
When i fed white bread my tank will become a "snowglobe" within minutes.
You do not want to feed those when you intend to sit and watch your fish for some time.

haha ok then so just put some oat down and give them pellets and carrot for water and thats it do i have to put the pupae in a different container then the rest ??

i keep mine out the fridge, always have done with no problems...

I have just got some GIANT mealworms from my LFS, jesus thay are massive, nearly 2" long I reckon, and my O's seem to love them..

Not needed, the worms will not eat the pupae.
