Saw this story on the news today. Scottish prawn trawlers land their catch in Scotland. The prawns are then shipped to the other side of the world to be shelled by hand, I think it is Thailand they go to. The prawns are then shipped back to the United Kingdom to be sold. This is absolutely crazy, I couldn't believe it when I saw it. And the guy who ran the company reckons that customers prefer them to be shelled by hand. I wouldn't know whether a prawn had been shelled by hand, would you? Anyway, can't may find anyone in the UK to shell them? You know what it is? It's probably 10 times cheaper over there.
