Wow.
For those of you that watch the program "The deadliest catch" must probably be just as amazed as me.
Those guys must realy have big kahunas to stick it out in those conditions.
ive been sailing and fishing all my life and been through pretty tough weather, but i can promise you that i wouldnt have the balls to go on one of those expeditions.
i did sum reading on wikipedia and was astound to see how many people die and get injured daily in the quest to fill up their crab pots.
And those crabs are huge wouldnt mind to cook a few of those.
I was just wandering if anyone here enjoys the show as much as i do.coz those guys are truly amazing.

It's one of our 'must see' programmes. It amazes me how the guys can work so hard for over 24 hours straight and not have more accidents:unsure:
$30,000+ for a few days work too......what a life eh? I think they deserve every penny, they certainly are a special breed

Yes, a fantastic show, I watch it here when it's on. I used to be a crab fisherman when I first left school in 1985. However, the boat I was on was only 30 feet long.

They had a special programme here the other day about how they film the series. It was all about the cameraman and how they set up the cameras. Absolutely amazing. They actually have 50 cameras in all on all different boats. They were saying that by the time they have finished filming the series, they have wrecked more than half of the cameras.
I also like the other series they do about the lobster fisherman, that's pretty good. I wish they would do one on trawling now, that's what I used to do as well
