Which Christmas movies do you like? At the time of writing this message, I am watching Santa Claus the movie with Dudley Moore as one of the elves. I remember watching this in the cinema when it first came out. Me and a few mates actually went to watch Rambo but it was on, so we ended up watching this you can't help but like it, especially John Lithgow

Not technically Christmas movies, but here in Oz Christmas TV does not include: The Great Escape, The Wizard of Oz, or any James Bond. I miss all of those

We have just had a James Bond season, Roger Moore is my James Bond. I think we are still a few films to go before Timothy Dalton comes along. I prefer the older James Bond, some of them are just so corny. Some of the gadgets were quite funny, a hairbrush that doubles up as a gadget for sending Morse code.
I remember in the mid-70s up until around 1980/81 when the Christmas movie each year was the towering Inferno. There are some films that you get just too much of

Now I spent 10 min or so trying to find out the English title of the film that came to my mind first, and it's exactly that one ... it's just sooo silly!
Then I seem to remember I liked that Scrooge film, but not even sure if I actually watched it or only meant to, however, I like the story behind it.
My all time fav is one I watched as a kid already, just a fairytale adaption, not sure any of you would know it at all since it's an old one from Czechia or so ... think the English title is something like "Three Nuts for Cinderella". They show it every year here, and I'm planning on watching it again if I didn't miss it already.

Watched the Great Escape yesterday for the first time in a lot of years. You just cant beat it.
Did anybody watch BBC2 and the documentary after Top Gear about Evil Kinevil. The man was an icon of his time but as a person a complete muppet.

We have had Wizard of Oz on almost every day for the past few weeks. It was remastered ... so one of the cable HD channels has been doing the usual too much of a good thing.
When I was younger, It's a Wonderful Life was on a lot, not the last few years or so. Miracle on 34th St plays a lot less.
There are many that I can recall, just not always the name.
Scrooged with Bill Murray used to play a lot.
Oh how I miss the 80s ... what a time ... maybe I am just nostalgic because it was the days of my youth, but I would go back to those times vs. now in a heartbeat. The music, the movies, the shows ... I recall most things as being a bit less in your face hardcore nonsense - too much production, not enough value. That is just my 2 cents/pence
