Hey everyone... I started a thread (about a month ago) about buying PS, and did. I went with PSE7, and I am addicted to it. I spend most of my time now messing around with it, instead of being on the Internet like I always used to be.

Anyway, I'm doing OK with it.. but have a long way to go. I was wondering if someone could tell me (in the easiest way possible) how to remove a background from a picture? I am working on a pic of a person, but hate the background they have, so I'd like to remove or change it. I've been trying, but frustration is about to take over. Thanks!

i love photoshop too. I can waste a day on it and not know where my day went ))))cos I still can't do what i would like with it. wish i could help but i would spend a day trying to work it out )))then I wouldn't reply here ))))

what do you want to do? paste a new background? best way would be cut out the person and paste it into another pic. I have a tutorial on it but I don't know how i could put that up for you? ho well. sorry.

That Polygonal Lasso Tool can be quite tricky to use. I think the video that Marcus posted should have concentrated a lot more on how to use thev Polygonal lasso tool. Once you have cut your image out then you can put it on any background you like, that is a very easy task.

The magnetic Polygonal tool is quite good, but it is quite sensitive and if you're cutting out an image from a very colorful busy background it's not easy. Well, I've always found it fairly difficult, maybe I'm doing it wrong
