okey fish people... i am aware of all sort of worms inside the tank....like
bloodworms, plenaria, earthworm, etc, etc... but i was puzzled of these worms...
my tank was inside my office for two years now... having few gold fishes and
grass shrimps... when i clean the filter yesterday, these are what i see...
a lot of scalely worm (from the touch of them) with red head, and bluish
body, around 2 inches long..... i am at lost if they are still in the family
of plenaria or what??????

I dunno Paul, you got me on this one. In the pic with the 3 worms they just look like our regular earthworms. But I've never seen them so blue, and they're usually a lot longer. Weird, wild, stuff right there.

They do look alot like earthworms. Earthworms are very rough to the touch, and they will turn blue when in water. Are they alive or dead? If there alive in the water then there not earthworms.

Not really sure, would like to see one close up to more certain. they do look like earth worm but I can't see a earth worm surviving in a filter for any length of time? leech possible? do they live out of water too? stick one in a container and see if it lives out of water. from your hot climate it could be something I have never even seen before )))

i did search for the worms and apparently it is oligochaetes, another kind of
earthworm. however, the sample in goggle is brown, not blue as shown in my fiber.
i did put some media in a jar without water but keep the fiber mist. the worms
keep on moving for a week. that is the time a post it coz i am puzzled.

when i first notice the worms, they are just around a fraction of an inch. however
when i post it here, they are about more than two inches long. and touch very rough
in bare hands. when i cut them into two...both are moving too....
