Looks like a Trojan horse. Have you got a virus program installed? I can't promise this will work but try downloading AVG, it's free anti-virus software that can be downloaded from the link below.

Trojan a sneaky backdoor virus, very high risk usually contracted by looking at PORN sites, not that you have, but thats where alot lie as the webmaster gets easy access to personall files.Trojans they start playin with you'e comp puttin files all over opening new tabs when youre online. They also access you're personal data that you may have entered online, credit cards and the such like.I use norton and spysweeper like vbaby said one sometimes aint enough.

AVG has worked fine for me, I use the free version of the anti-virus and anti-spyware ... they also have a free anti-rootkit available. I also leave windows defender running, which is free from microsoft.com.

With all those and other programs running at startup, I have no latency issues with a AMD 3500+ processor and 1 GB @ 200 MHz RAM.

There is a free program called force delete. If the pc claims the file is in use elsewhere, there is also a freeware called unlocker. It will free up the file to be able to be removed. I believe both of them (if not all things mentioned) are available from cnet download.

Between all the freeware programs I have found, it has gotten rid of any problems I have ever had.

I also recommend firefox with ad block plus and no script to protect you while surfing.

I haven't tried the other programs mentioned, but I also don't have money to be spending on yearly software charges.

I am not the moral police, so I could care less if you were looking up porn or ponies ... hopefully not both together though

Just be careful of the files you open up from mail, most AV and AS programs allow you to scan before opening with a right click option and are active scanners. Having a mail account with a place like yahoo, they scan files before they are attached and before you receive them. The browser with the two extensions I mentioned protects you while you surf, and you can set certain sites, like -oscarfishlover.com- to be permanently allowed, or temporarily allow other sites like petsmart.com

Ok. I think I have it deleted now...I had to spend an hour looking for it, and finally it showed up in quarentine in my security software so I was able to delete it without opening it up and releasing it!!!
And no...it was not porn, it was music off Limewire! I have now fully removed limewire and all it's xtras, and will not be using it again!
Thanx all for the help!!

Glad you got it sorted pooky!

Re:HELP HELP HELP!!! Virus computer help PLEASE!!! 4 years, 4 months ago #9515

torrents can be faster than limewire ... it is just setting it up to run fast that can be the problem. I have had uTorrent running at 900 Kbps to where is hogged ALL my bandwidth and had to cap it.

Limewire was good when I first used it, but it does have a lot of files you have to be careful for ... there was one I used before that no longer exists that was great too.

Pay torrent sites are really fast. If you join a torrent group, you must share back or they choke your download amount ... to prevent too many leechers from building up in the system.

I had to stop searching torrents unless I wanted to buy a few terabyte hard drives. They have collections, say of Mozart that are 50+ GB in size.

Have fun

I do use lime wire every now and then when I am looking for a certain song, haven't had any problems lately but I know what people are talking about, it can be a real bitch for picking up horrible nasties. I haven't downloaded any music lately, but I used to find that isohunt was very good.
