Seems like quite a few of you have dogs. Since we didnt have a winter that was worth a damn the fleas here are completly out of control. Of course I tried the whole chemical thing from flea shampoo to the stuff you put on their backs. I want to maybe try something a little more natural. I read about adding yeast to their food or adding white vinegar to their water ? Has anyone tried anything and had any good success with ?

I've never heard of any of those lol. I know I always used frontline and heartguard for my Rott when I had him, but that was years ago so who knows what people are doing now.

I used Frontline , but its not making a damn difference this year. Never had any problem with fleas until now. And its driving me crazy....

How often are you giving him baths?

I'm sure there's some flea killing shampoo you can use when you give him a bath that will probably help.

Once a week. See... I read that the yeast gets into their skin and repells the fleas ? Something like that.

You probably also had a winter that killed some of them. We had a really mild winter. Probably the warmest one in several years. So fleas and mosquitos are rampant this year. One of the dogs is a 10 week old puppy. So I really want to be careful with too many pesticides.

Yes fair point. We had snow and rain until last week. Crazy uk weather.
