This is actually a common misconception Paul. The bully breeds get a bad rap due to some piss-poor owners. There isn't a dog breed on the planet that is
born to be bad. A dog will behave in the manner that it's owner dictates. If you treat a Labrador like crap, chain it up, beat it, make it fight - it'll become a vicious dog too. The bully breeds need a LOT of exercise and a LOT of attention and training. They're highly intelligent dogs, and can be used for a variety of work activities. It's people who don't take the time to train their dogs, or exercise them properly who end up with unruly dogs, and it's the a$$holes who treat their dogs like crap that end up with vicious animals who will snap. Then there's the breeders who inbreed their dogs so they can get litters out as fast as they can so they can sell the pups off for $$.
I hate that dog breeds get such bad raps because of a hand full of idiot owners. It's just like Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Chow Chows before them. All of those breeds have been vilified over the last several decades. It's just the bully breeds that are out of favor right now.
