TOPIC: My English Bully Ogie Ogilthorpe

My English Bully Ogie Ogilthorpe 2 years, 7 months ago #57923

He's 1 year old, I am going to start showing him in about 1 year and eventually hope to breed him.

Yeah they are one of the most expensive breeds. Champion bloodlines are ridiculously expensive, but really with all the potential health risks with the English Bullys it is worth it to have healthy bloodlines. If not, you'll only pay much more in vet bills later on...They have lots of skin problems-- skin fold dermatitis, fungal infections, interdigital cysts, etc, eye problems, nasal problems. It's one of those breeds that you really need to be picky about a breeder with. Essentially they are an ENTIRELY man-made breed. Nothing really evolutionarily beneficial in their current form...lol...thus, lots of potential health probs.

They are my passion though. Always were. My parents bred and showed Great Pyrenees for 20 some years and I remember going to dog shows as a child...one time I saw a pen of English Bully puppies and that was it. I was going to have nothing else..lol

Ogies my first, I could have gotten one sooner but I was ready last year to finally be able to dedicate the time and money to getting a champion sired and showing/breeding him.

Mind you if I try to dress up my Enlish Bullterrier, all hell breaks loose!
But he steals my clothes from time to time...lol

Bullterriers are AWESOME. chihuahuas are great too...I don't really care much for little dogs but I love them and short hair dachshunds.

My parents bred Great Pyrenees for 25 years while I was growing up..I used to travel with them to dog shows all over, that's how I first saw English Bully's.
