I'm new to the fish keeping world, but I have always been a dog lover, and hope to always have a good dog or two.

Here's Lexi "hugging" my 5 year old son one morning before breakfast
Pure black lab, 18 months old, and just over 90 pounds

And Wally (his momma was half lab, no clue about his daddy)
He'll be a year old in August, and is a little over 50 pounds right now with plenty of room to grow.

Great pics... I was a dog lover before I ever thought of fish. This is Emma - 10 years old and addicted to boating more than we are! Even mention a word that sounds a tiny bit like the word boat and she runs out to the back yard!

Welcome to the site by the way... I haven't said that yet!

awesome!!
I wish I could bring my lab out in the boat.
She loves it, but she'll spend more time in the water than in the boat.

Last time I tried, she kept jumping out, once when I was running at a pretty good speed.

Here's Scout almost 2 years ago when he was a cute and adorable 15lb puppy.

Here he is now, a big ol'100lb dog.

And of course Belle, our sweet little Min Pin who thinks she's a 100lb dog too.

If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

My Dog is awesome!

Peanut right after I got him.

Another pic of Peanut right after I got him.

My son, Sean, playing at my Grandma's house right before my Grandpa's funeral. Peanut looks so happy sitting by that chair! He loved her house cause there were so many people there.

Emma tries too... when we are on the river especially. I think she wants to go fishing!! We have lost her overboard a couple times. Luckily the river is only waist deep at its deepest! Now the Gulf of Mexico is different!! She is actually held when we are out there!

I usually only fish the marshes, bayous, and lakes behind my house.
the lake between here and the gulf can have a serious attitude problem.

slick calm one minute, and all hell breaking loose the next.
More than once we've been forced to spend the night on a platform or island due to the lake being too rough to cross coming home.

And that was on a day with good weather.
Late in Hurricane season, that lake is a beast!
thunderstorms form outta nowhere, and 6 foot+ seas are not uncommon.
