Before my finding about Oscars, I have two dogs, Tammi, a Blue heeler cross red heeler. Sasha, a jack russell cross big tart! A cat Pepper, who we found in our backyard, her mother had three other kittens in a wood pile. She's a mix of alot of things, but most of all, pure bred sweety pie. I have had animals other than fish all my life, and would never live without them! We used to have 12-20 guinea pigs, 20 or so rabbits, another rescue dog, we rescued her from a nasty little boy who tortured her until she was bald and bleeding, so we took her in. She lived a long and happy life. We had two other cats, who lived until they were very old, one until she was 23. Lost her mind though. Poor baby. But I've posted a picture of my little oompa loompa, (Tammi). Love her heaps, she's 12 now. A little old lady.

Unfortunately, pets break your heart in the end when they die. I've had three dogs who have died and I have cried every time when they've gone. (I am a poet and I didn't know it)

Of course, we could always invest in a parrot or maybe even a tortoise, both could outlive us easily
