I find it hard to move anything around in my tank because then I start re decorating and it is so amazing that my oscar dosent move anything around im so gratefull but once i start moving stuff i am in there for like an hour lol i was wondering if you guys can give me any sugestions on a good decoration setup at the moment i have two cave like props three plants and something else that houses a buble thing
That is like asking us to recommend where we should put our furniture. It doesn't matter, a lump of wood stuck in the middle of the tank, or leaning against the side. The same as rocks, stick them where you want. It's not as if the bottom of a river is going to be a tidy place and be the same everywhere. If the substrate or decor is light enough for the Oscars to move it, they certainly will if they don't like it where it is
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved

They have treasure chest bubblers where the lid opens up from the air pressure. Sometimes it even has a diver with an old diving suit and a trident standing next to it. Or even a pirate. Sometimes it can be a skeleton but that could be considered somewhat ominous as you can observe from the following examples I have provided below.
Here we see a stand alone treasure chest bubbler:
Next you can observe an example of both treasure chest and diver (this one seems to be lacking a trident however they do exist:
Finally, here we see treasure chest replete with skeleton. The interesting thing here, you might notice, is that the manufacturer has managed to combine elements of both a skeletal figure figure as well as a pirate (as denoted by the eyepatch). A combination that surely bears some closer scrutiny:
In conclusion, ultimately deciding which Treasure Chest bubbler is right for you, your fish, and your tank setup can seem like a daunting task at first...my best advice is to remember to enjoy the process...have fun with it....and remember that ultimately you will make the best choice that will provide satisfaction, enjoyment and excitement for years to come. And that's what it's all about.

i remember a video called something like S.M.-pleco, but i couldn't find it
It had a pleco with his head half into the treasure chest, while the lid kept banging on his head!
found this one though, and i guess the pleco is quite amused by the airbubbler
but really, Matt, it's Like Johnny and the boss said, do whatever you like best.
And of course make sure the decoration meets the needs of your fish.
I make use of a big piece of driftwood in the middle of the tank, as a visual breaking point.
That gives my fish the opportunity to get out of sight whenever the other fish feel the need to chase eachother.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small! Plecofanatic Primitive fish Keeper : Florida Gar OscarFishLover!

Well, Noddy, I agree driftwood can be ascetically pleasing and functional, however I think we need to keep this thread on topic and help Matt decide exactly which treasure chest bubbler is best for him. There are a whole myriad of treasure chest bubbler options out there and, like I mentioned before, the selection process probably can seem quite daunting at first.

A "good" decortion/set up is simply what you like. I prefer simple uncluterred set ups for my Oscars. Enough for them to hide and feel secure and that's it. I want to watch my fish not the decorations. Look at other set ups for ideas....lots of great photo's on this site.
All you need is a slack hand of "NO FISHING" signs and your all set
