So, I am watching this video on youtube:

and notice that this is a 250 gallon tank with at least 4 oscars I count in it, and i see 1-2 blood parrots in it as well.

Is this considered "safe?"

I ask, because as a backup plan if I need to rehome my flowerhorn, is this advisable? Could I replace my flowerforn with 2 more oscars?

Cheers,

J

To me that's 220gal just for the O's and they have 30gal left
I would imagine that they would have unbelievable amount of filtration
But I have never owned a blood parrot and I have no clue on what the require

Understood. That is why I asked. I love points of view.

My hopes are that my sump will be "massive" too.

basically, the main issue of over stocking is water quality... and
space consideration wherein limited space resulted into bullying...

i have this experiment wherein a massive sump tank servicing several
display tanks or one big tank with divider to avoid space issue... i found
out that we can maintain water quality; avoid space issue by a divider;
and keep all fishes healthy. the only disadvantage of the set up is that
once one tank is infected, it may affect all other tanks too....

i will be posted that study soon... including the PHD Tank Layout and Design.
