TOPIC: Rena tank for an oscar

Rena tank for an oscar 3 years, 8 months ago #16434

I was wondering would a rena aqualife 120 x 50 x 70.5 tank be a suitable size for an oscar and possiby some other cichlids, if not then just the oscar on its own?
any replies greatly appreciated
Many thanks,
Jordan

welcome to Oscar fish lover

This tank will be okay for one Oscar. I wouldn't go too mad putting other fish in though. The tank is around the 60 gallon mark I think, without doing my calculations. if you do want tank mates, you will really need to go little bit bigger. What kind of filter are you getting with the tank? some of the companies who sell these complete set-top supply external canister filters with them.

i agree with ofl. with a tank that size one oscar and a few small tankmates is all i would go with. also make sure the filter is adequate for an oscar. remember you can never overfilter an oscar tank.
