after a couple weeks of looking into changing over to sand from gravel, with a little help from you guys i have decided to make the change.
i have been doing a little research and have been looking at the argos play sand.

has anyone used this in there oscar tank?, if so is there any chance of some
pics to see how it looks.

what are your thoughts on using this type of sand?

many thanks

If you look on the live web cam page you'll see I am using white sand in my 125 gallon tank. However, I don't think it's actually children's sand. I would be a little bit reluctant about putting this type of sand in my tank unless I was absolutely sure nothing had been added to the sand. Try and find out who manufactures the sand

for a white sand i use swimming pool filter sand. it a silica sand and is already pre cleaned. it has little silt and works worderfully in my 65 gallon jack dempsey tank. the cost is relatively inexpensive at 50 lbs for $14.00 cdn
