a while back i see a really nice tank on you-tube, inside the tank was a very long piece of wood that went from 1 side to the other if you know what i mean, the tank was 6ft and the wood was about 6ft as well, it went from the bottom of the left side of the tank to the top of the right side of tank.
it looked like a treated branch from a tree,
what i want to know is....
what was this wood and where can i get some?
i have searched all over the net but cant find anything that long.
any ideas?

havent seen the vid so i cant say if its wood or not but what i did for my large peice was go to one of the rivers around my house and found a peice of driftwood. then i just cut it down to size, conditioned and soaked it for a week(used a kiddie pool i picked up at walmart) , then attached a piece of acrylic to the bottom(to bury itin the substrate) and that was it.

are you sure it was a wood. in some instances, there are some
synthetic items that looks like wood. wood that long, will warp
or deform when soak in water from being dried.
