Guys can I move all the fish into the new tank at the same time...current set ups

55 gal with ac50 and 2217 has the oscar 4.5 to 5 inches and asian bb cat 3 ish inches

30 gal ac110 crammed to the brim with bio a 3ish inch a.metae and a 2ish inch clown loach.

Would be easier if I could move them all so that I could put the 2217 on the 150 until the 2262 (seeded with bio from ac110) catches up and use ac110 for mech only. Thenn I wouldn't have to worry about cycling or anything. Later on I would move the 2217 back to the 55 and restock it with something smaller. The cl and metae bicker but nothing too serious. The bb cat beat the crap out of the cl in the 30 but im thinking the larger tank would settle that

Also wanted to add a small group of geo red head tapajos or 1 severum (rotkiel or red)

Oh yeah got the witch to aggree to the 6ft (with the help of my son :)

YAY!! 6 foot tank! All fish at once Frank. That way less chance of any particular one gettin any thoughts on claiming extra territory. May still happen, but with all at once chances are better of peaceful acclimating. With the AC110 and 2217 fully charged I wouldnt even transfer media, just let the 2262 grow its own. Opinions may differ on that, but I've never had an issue seeding new filters on their own in already cycled tanks, with running established filters. And, btw.. thats your loving wife, not the witch. The Witch is my RedTex!

I vote for Severum. The Taps are cool and very attractive, but do best in a group, maybe a little too busy for Capone's liking. Capone, the Acara and a Red Spot or Super Red Sev. Plus the Cat and Loach, full up and a nice mix. Maybe some more loaches for the lonely survivor?

Yeah dave im leaning to sev as well mainly because I already have to over feed the 30 gal because the acara is a big eater and the loach doesnt get much with the taps being lower half of the tank fish it could be come a headache. I like chocolate cichlids too but they get kind of big... from what I read the rotkiels stay on the smaller side 8 inch or so ?

No glasscages shipping was just way too much for my area (more than the tank) and with my back being an issue I wasn't going to meet them at a show and move it myself. Should be getting it first week july. Wife still picking out the finish to the cabinets
