Don't blame you there. Plus you probably save a ton of money by buying a standard size. I wish I could have fit a 6' tank in the space I have mine in, but there was no way.

You getting it from a local pet shop?

To be honest if gc wasn't so crazy with the shipping I would have went with the 5x2 its perfect for the area. The next option was the 5ft120 but me and my son got thw wife to agree to the 6ft tank. Now she is picking out the absolute most expensive stand and canopy lol

I suggest painting the back when you get it home. I used Krylon spray paint that I got from Lowe's. One can did it. Beats the heck outta fooling with backgrounds, IMO.

I'm sure it would.

They spray I used was the Krylon "Fusion". Not sure how hard it would be to scrape off, but I doubt I ever will.

I thin the 2262 is roughly 26inch so may have 10 inch difference

Also gotta figure out the color should I go blue or black ? Gonna switch the background on the 55 to black to get an idea

i like the black too have it on the 30 gal. Im gonna flip the backround on the 55 gal to black and see how it looks will post pics and get the groups opinion. I wanna paint the new tank to avoid the glare that the backrounds sometimes cause

Ok so the questions start.....
1) im thinking I should remove all the decor from the tanks before I net them out to minimize injury. Are the chances high that capone goes into his suicide routine once hes in the new tank?
2) as far as the new tank I want to stick with the natural look (wood, rocks, and some fake plants) should I move the peices they like ? Meaning capone loves the resin root thing in 55gal would putting it in the 150 make the move easier?
3) wood vs resin? I kind of like the resin roots and wood because there really isn't any sharp edges and even the ones that are sharp are kind of rounded a bit ? Is there any negatives to sticking to mostly resin ? Also dont have to worry about tannins leaching into the water.

The plan is set the tank up level fill and level then have it running for a few days (not with bio filtration) and add decor. This is where im gonna need some assistance on the day of the move is this how it should go down
1) empty decor from existing tanks
2) net and acclimate each fish
3) move move existing 2217 and add seeded media from existing aquaclears to 2262. Set up ac110 for mech.

What am I missing
