If you never take a risk and taste failure, you wont know what it's like to succeed

Hello. Please notice this is the "general forum info" section, fish and aquatic questions go in their appropriate sections...

that aside, i think either your tank is in the sun, or you have a water quality problem. otherwise, algae would not be a big problem.

Sorry for miss posting. I've done a water test and nitrates, nitrites, ph and ammonia are all fine. i've not moved the tank since i changed it over to Osca's and although opposite a window it is protected by blinds. i never had any problem before.

Please list the exact parameters... we do not know what fine means...

see, if they're all 0, then your tank obviously isn't cycled.... so...

you may also want to test and see if your phosphates are high.

no fish could ever clean your tank.
what you need is to lessen exposure to sunlight or too much light.
it requires more surface area of media to contain, and more turn-over
of water (flow rate of pump) to remove more algae. do not clean
your filter for a while unless it is clogged. it will clear in 4 days.

green algae is 99 % too much light .....cut your lighting to 4 hours per 24 ....and screen your tank from direct sunligt ,this should stop your problem
