OOscarO created the topic: Spray paint safe?

Recently I was inspired by the king of DIY on YouTube, Joey, to build a fish viewer, he suggested spray paint or electrical tape to block light out of the box. I do trust his knowledge, but id like a second opinion. Are (dry) spray painted items a no-no to put in the tank? Even temporarily?

I've used Kyrlon fusion paint on objects that went into the aquarium.

+1 on Krylon Fusion. You can't get it at Home Depot or Loews anymore but I read some where that Ace Hardware and Walmart still carry it.
