jnet created the topic: new tank :))))

Im looking to buy this tank in the future;

www.allpondsolutions.co.uk/aquarium-1/fish-tanks/cabinet-aqu...cabinet-aquarium-fish-tank-marine-tropical-lz-2000-7188.html

In white,

What should I stock it with?

I have a JD and 2rapheal cat and rainbow shark, bn plecs

i also have a ghost koi, and shubs in another tank; but I will be selling my two tanks to get this one. Do I put the pond fish back in pond. I only put them in tank to keep it running.

Or do I go for coldwater tank?

I was looking to buy this for my oscar but he died 2weeks ago.

Do I restock with a new oscar, or total new fish etc

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)

Sweet looking tank. I would keep the koi in the pond and get another oscar myself. I have two oscar tanks now and wouldn't have it any other way. :) My dad kept koi for 20+ years and in that 20 years they grew to be more than 2 feet long!!

if you decide to go cold water, there are a lot of fish that can handle 60f temperature besides gold fish.

You have the common paradise gourami, buenos aires tetras, rosy barbs, and pepper cory cats to the more exotic like the beani cichlid from Mexico, Geophagus Brasilensis, gymnogeophagus types like the balzani, australoheros ceibals (aka chanchito cichlid), hoplo catfish, and bristlenose plecos.

That's a nice tank :)

If it were me, I'd go with oscars. But that's the answer I'd give under almost any circumstance. There are so many fantastic fish that I have little or no experience with. I look forward to updates whatever you decide.

Mix of smaller CA. Salvini, Carpintis, Nicaraguan, Convict. Colorful and active without maxing out the volume or bioload

Sorry no reply I've been busy and then full of cold and my tablet is slow on this site not mention my little monster turned one and is now a pain when it comes to me typing.

I'm thinking I might just get Oscars, how many would work I was thinking 6 with the knowledge of knowing if it doesn't work I will have to rehome some. I know its going to be a controversial idea.

4 oscars will already be pushing the limits on a 208 US gallon tank like that. A sump will be needed to get the right amount of volume water.

Go for 1 oscar, and other SA fish.
