thats the initial 3 hours.. and it should be gone soon...

ofcourse a strong filter will do the job for you
If it doesn't kill you, it only makes you stronger...

play sand always have cloudy effect no matter how you wash it.
i am not sure why but it should be cleared in 2 to 3 days without
running the filter. if you run the filter and have small fishes in it,
probably you have bacteria bloom.... but this could only happen it you
have plenty of waste with less good bacteria in the filter.

I had that when I put play sand Into my 5ft acople of days after I changed back to gravel. But it was cloudy because of my pleco. Every time he moved the sand would move and never setal.

I hope you have better luck than I did xxx

It's fine for your fish. And it takes five to six weeks to fully cycle

please check your discharge point. if it makes whirlwind inside the tank, sand will fly around and make the tank cloudy. or your suction is too low that it sucked the sand and blown in the discharge point with same cloudy effect.

cloudiness due to the sand won't harm your fish but it is unsightly.

Cloudy water from sand won't hurt the fish but the non cycled tank will certainly stress him out! Expect more cloudy water untill it's cycled.
