Seen an ad on my local Gumtree for a tank this size (dimensions seem odd don't they?) and by my calculation it should be just under 100 imperial gallons which would be perfect for two Oscars and maybe an upside Catfish at a push?

What do you guys think?

the tank is odd in dimension but i think you might be able to do 2 oscar and the cat in it. near as i can figure it works out to be about 120 us gallons so you should be alright.

yes, it is a 117 US gal or 100 Imp. gal size. can accommodate
2 oscars and small tankmates. just make sure to fit it with
good filtering pump to keep the water under check as they grow.

size dose seem odd, are you sure its not an upright 1.2m There are some tall tanks out there that fit around these dimensions made for smaller fish,if so it would leave a very small sureface area. worth asking though as it may turn out to be fine. goodluck

It's one of those bullet type things, you know the room divider sort.

Curved on one end, but flat on the other.

The guy is selling a whole lot of Malawi's with the tank, which I can migrate to my other tank, including a Jack Dempsey which I could never find before.

I did ask about the dimensions, and how accurate they are as it doesn't sound or look right according to the pictures.

Going to take a look at a local petshop at a tank I remember standing there for a few weeks at special price, hoping it's still there and if the dimensions are large enough I want to make an offer on that one, otherwise I will go have a look at the tank I mentioned here.

It also comes with a Fluval canister filter, which is a massive bonus.
