I told my wife I had to go and get a couple of snail-eating-snails, and guess what.
The same ladie had a piece of wood, 3,5'x2'xalmost 2'.
zso i got a deal and she cut of the price a bit...
This means redoing my tank cause its a HUGE piece of wood.
2 questions, i scrub and wash the wood before putting it in, is that necsesary?

What would your advice be, redo the tank and leave the fish or catch the fish out and redo the tank?
What will cause less stress?

whenever I redo the look of my tank I just leave the fish in there but I make sure that I am not thrashing and banging about. My belief is that removing the fish from the tank into a bucket or something like that would stress the fish out more than leaving them in.

I agree with Warlock77, just move slow and try to make as little noise and splash as possible. If the driftwood has already been scrubbed you won't have to do it again but a good rinsing would be smart. Use a brush that has no soap or anything on it and you're good to go

its always a good idea to clean any wood that you put into the tank. as for taking the fish out while you renovate their house i usually leave them in and jsut do it. i agree with the others that taking them out might be more stressfull to them then you playing around in the tank.

ever try to put a 3footlongand 2 foot wide through the upperside of tour tank, if its a 2,5foot square!
