3 would be ok in a 120. you will also need exceptional filtration....

nickis right...

although the problem with 3 O's in the same tank is if 2 pair up then they will pick on the other one..

no way to tell if this is goin to happen until the fish mature
other pets are my colt (Freddo Frog), my staffy (Tank) and my boxer x,(Steph)

we usually recommend a 110 for 2 oscars so if your tank is a 120 then my recommendation would still be 2 oscars. however with the extra room you could probably go with a couple of mid sized tankmates as well.

just my 2 cents

Hi,

You know the old saying twos company, threes a crowd. I definately think two would be better and they will grow closer to their full potential.

Nigel.

that would depend on the type of pleco you get. if you get a sailfin or common pleco than your tnak is not near big enough. but the odds are that you will eventually have to rehome one of the oscars so you might be able to get away with a plec that doesnt grow to large.

i wouldn't want a pleco that gets super huge but i don't want one that's gonna end up as a snack cuz its lunch. i am hope'ing all 3 oscars can live together so far i haven't had any problems but if they do i would get rid of the albino asap my red and tiger oscars have some really nice color on them. i thought about getting rid of the albino in a few days tho and maybe getting a firemouth or an electric blue dempsey if i can find 1, but i might just end up taking him back and keepin it like it is.

your tank may be a little to aggro for an ebjd. typically they are frail and timid but you could try it and see how it turns out if you really wanted to.

personally i think your tank is near its capacity now so i wouldnt add anything extra.

i just got an ebjd a few weeks ago, and was hoping to eventually have it, a green terror, 2 oscars and a synodontis catfish in a 120 gallon.
i believe it is really hard to find a ebjd big enough to hang with the O's right off the bat, most available for purchase are less than 2 inches.
any who... i have the ebjd in with some tetras and a couple of angles and he is very shy. he just hides in the corner and barely comes out to eat... hope he makes it
Please, for my sake, change your oil!
