Theoretically it is perfectly feasible to keep lots of Oscars. However it would be rather like keeping lots of horses, not really advisable unless you've got the space.

You really need to decide how many gallons the pond is going to be. Once you've got a plan in place, then you can decide on how many Oscars you are going to have.

Remember that you will have to consider what type of location and heating you are going to have. Obviously the the most practical way is to use a pond heater and a large sump filter. I can tell you it won't be cheap to heat if the pond is quite big.

My fish pond is 9 feet long & 4 feet wide. I got 15 oscars. 5 tigers & 10 albino oscars. I live in tropical country. Do I need a heater in my pond?

assuming your pond is 3 feet deep that works out to be about 680 gallons. if all you have in is the oscars you will need a ton of filtration to cope with the bio load. imho 15 oscars is overstock even in a pond this size. you might want to think about rehoming about a third of your present stock list and seeing if you can cope with remainder.

as for heating as long as the water temp doesnt drop below 72 degrees in the coolest season you should be alright without a heater.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

i have a indoor pond 9x4x2 too. I have 3 juvenile Os(1 tiger and 2 albinos) and 2 ID sharks (Planing to add a knifefish soon). And I live in a tropical country too, so no need of a heater. I use a canister filter, since i have only 5 fish and I change 1/3 of water once a week.

Totally agree with necro, You have to remove some of your Os. Even you have enough space, feeding 15 Os will be quite expensive.

i don't think aros are suitable fish for ponds because they are really good jumpers.
