Can you please help me with some ideas for putting media in the 3 baskets,what order etc.

I use the fx5 myself. I feel there is no need to use any mechanical media as the foam around the outside takes care of this. I fill all 3 baskets with bio media, the top basket should have a heavy media like blocks and the bottom basket I fill with best grade media(Eheim balls)or you can use a polishing pad here to catch very small particles.

in my fx5 i use a blue fluval fine filter pad on the bottom and cram the rest with bio max. works great in my tank.
