I think I'm ready? The plants are fake, depending what the Oscar thinks of them I may add a few more as it looks a bit bare at the moment!

looks good...the only thing i can think of is maybe a background.

That's the final thing to get, forgot to mention that. I'm going either blue or black but the problem I have is the tank is 26" tall and the tallest background I've found so far is 24"

Voilà! Someone on another forum gave me this idea. It's a bin liner attached to cardboard. There's a few ripples to smooth down but it works great.



No fish yet! Should be buying an Oscar tomorrow, not sure what type yet. Also not sure on tank mates, I was thinking silver dollars but the place I'm going hasn't got any.

silver dollars would look awsom with that look i got em in mine i had black roman gravel the siler dollars stand out a treat

Yes it's been running for a year with snakeheads. They're in there now they just blend into the gravel so you can't really see them in the picture. They'll be bagged in the morning for transport.
