I often see clay flower pots in fish tanks for hiding spots for the fish. I bought one today but before I put it in the tank I want to make sure it is ok to do so. I'd hate to do anything that would harm my fish. The pot I bought says made in Italy and Silma on it. Its an unglazed red clay pot. Is it ok to rinse off good and place this in the tank?

Just give it a wash and it should be perfectly okay. I have used these glazed type potts before and they have never had a detrimental affect on my tank

No problem. You often get a double post because there is a bit of a delay and sometimes people think nothing is happening
