As I said in my status, just getting back into the tropical scene and I want to have a nice big tank with some Oscars again.
Just on equestion that someone might be able to answer. I was surfing the net looking for some of the ultrasviolet filters ( any tips on these would be grateful ) I saw a video clip somewhere that showed me some white and pinky red color and they were absolutely gorgeous. Does anybody know where they were derived from and are they easy to come by I live in Scotland and fell in love with them when I saw them.

I run a UV filter - It's too soon to really tell if it makes a difference or not -it's only been running for about a month. So far I can say I have ZERO algae and I run the lights pretty regularly up to 12 hrs a day

here is an informative article that explains the benefits, etc. for me, the removal of pathogens in the water column and the reduction of algae were the deciding factors
