My wood is growing white cotten like stuff on it, what should i do

How big is ur piece of wood? Not getting personal here lol.

If you have a big enough pot, put it in or at least half of it and boil it. You only have to let it come to the boil and just leave it for moment. Then turn it round and do the other side.
I was told years ago then when you put gravel into ur tank put in a big pot and just let it come to the boil just for a moment and anything bad in the gravel will die instantly.
Mind you, some of the tanks will have huge amount of gravel as they are monsters. You'll be there all day. lol

i doubt it is anything "bad"...driftwood releases tannins as a defense so that no bad bacteria can grow on it....or make it rot...i have some fuzz on mine but its no big deal...if there was a lot i would be concerned though

i had to boil mine 5 times to get most tannins out!!! it was stained bad
