Hi all,
Just wondering how many of you use terracotta plant pots in your tanks ?
Read somewhere that oscars love these and will use them to sleep in.
Thanks
Steve

From my experience oscars are not the sort of fish that hide away that much. The only time they may take refuge is if they are being bullied. Whether they sleep in pots is something I really couldn't say, a normally term at lights out just before I go to bed so I never around to see.

When my O's sleep it allways close to the surface, face up and usually near the outlet of my filter.
Never saw mine sleep on the gravel or hiding when sleeping.

Are you both refering to the Red Tail Labeo?
If so, I had one of them years ago, he was a warrior !!!
Chased certain fish all round the tank constantly. I also read that it is only a shark by name and not a member of the species.
Only my two bobs worth lolol
