In your opinion what is better a natural look or a fantasy look in a Oscar tank?

When it comes to fish tanks and how they look, what matters is what you like. If you like a treasure chest with a lid that opens and lets bubbles out then have it. Just avoid sharp objects

I personally have a gravel base, a few large rocks with a large piece of bog wood on top to create a few hiding places. I also have 2 plastic hanging plants in the corners to cover the pipeworks and a couple of large silk plants wedged in between the rocks
I can't get no sleep

natural for me. I am not into sunken galleons and skulls

I'm more partial to natural myself. Although, i did want to make my tank look like an old run down graveyard. Either that or just have bones all over the place in the tank. I thought that would be a really fun theme to play with.

I ended up just going with some mopani and cheap plants because i couldn't find any nice pieces for the tank.

But there is ALWAYS next time.

I like to look at all types of tank setups, for myself it will always be natural though. Well, thinking how in some places fish live with old tires and rusty cans in the water, that would be too close to the natural environment for me
If I were a guy, I\'d have probably needed only 30% of the amount of words to say this

Natural...not a fan of fake stuff. Not even fake plants, or colored gravel etc.

Natural for me looks more realistic. I think the fish look better in a natural environment as well.

Since I've had my 300 gallon with a few fake Amazon swords in it, I would actually recommend plastic/silk plants, they are great. My Oscars haven't paid them any attention whatsoever and they are still where I put them. In fact, a few people even think they are real plants until I tell them different

I prefer the natural look. But at times I would like to experience other designs/looks. But room does not allow.
I have seen some really beautiful set ups done other ways
too. Again, its a matter of preference. Have fun in whatever you decide.
