I have a question on cycling my new tank. If I was to do a 50 percent water change on my tank I have set up now and using that water in my new tank along with a filter system from my excisting tank does that mean my water is cycled or should I wait. I have a friend who passed away and he had one big O's and I told the family I would take him but they need a place asap. I dont really want to put him in my tank with my fish because for one its only a 60 gallon tank and This O needs a 60 gallon all to himself and I dont want anything to happen to my little O I have PLEASE HELP lol

Is your existing filter cycled????

If yes, the go ahead, but check your water readings regularly...

as Nicki asked, i take it you have 2 filters on you tank now. how long have they both been running? if they have both been running for 6wks or more you should be fine. also are you still going to have enough filtration on your old tank to remove 1 filter?

I have to HOB filter systems that are suppose to be good to handle 60 gallon tanks and one 10-20 gallon filter system I'v been using all three. And my tank has been up and running for a couple months

Those are some show specimen, those tigers.
Incredible colour!
And they seem to be a team, hope your lutino will grow fast !

btw do you use a dv recorder?
If you do, try using a tripod stand, your vids will be even better and focussing will be easier when the camera is steady.
lol, if you use a phone, then never mind that advice!
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!
