I got another 55 gallon tank from a friend last weekend...woo hoo, and I just need to get some sort of stand and I'll be in business. Once I get all up and running I'm gonna take my Oscar out of his tank and put him into the new tank, which I'll be getting some black gravel for and an Eheim 2017 canister filter.

The Oscar is living with a male Blue Acara at the moment, who will stay in the tank. I then plan, in this order, to get 6 Otto cats, 6-8 pristella tetras, 6 panda cories(maybe 3 pandas and 3 sterbai), 1 festivum, 1 angelfish, 1 Keyhole, and 1 Geophagus Surinamensis.

I also just set-up a 10 gallon for my Bristlenose pair and a dozen or so Red Cherry Shrimp that i think came out great.

I got it back, set it up...1 year later I got 3 55 gallons and 2 10 gallons running, infusoria growing in the window, and a 1 gallon with some bulb plants and marimo balls in the window. My freind will be giving me another 40 gallon in a few months too.

Beware, mts sufferers often get infected with BTS as well, the awfull "Bigger Tank Syndrome".
I'm very sorry for you, but can totally relate.

pictures look great but remember the more rock and wood you put in the tank the less water you have in there.
