my filter is in the hood, which has a pump which puts out 900liters per hour, i have a 90 us gallon tank i have 5 baskets, first on has foam, next 3 has foam and bio rings, last has foan and carbon, the filter has a long tube with holes thats lets the water drible onto the media ps , media doesnt seem to get completly wet just in the middle, could this be the cause of my problem in my earlier thread, my sponges do not collect smaller particles, so i have orderd some extra filter medium which collects small particles, but as the water comes out only over one part is it worth my while, should i take out some baskets out, cut the pipe so it consentrates on one basket, ive ordered a internal fliter which should be here soon, which i will add so confused, never had this problem with my african ciclids, just everything has changed with my 2 baby oscars, xxxx

Any chance you could take a video of some kind? we could then get a good idea of what you're talking about. However, as long as the media is staying quite wet on the water is actually coming in contact with it then you shouldn't have any problems, and may even act as a wet dry filter. But we might be this until we can actually see what you're talking about. If some of the media is not wet and is not really coming into contact with the water then it probably won't be very effective as a biological media

yea, i concur with the boss... a video or picture can help.
but i believe what you have is a trickle drip type filter.
allowing the water to drip will gradually cover the entire
area later on. you don't need to clean it until such time
it is clogged already.

I saw the video thead but that is indeed NOT 900L/H.
Hope you find your flow back.
