I think that is a little bit too much in my opinion.I don't think I would be paying any more than about $590 for the complete set up, that converts to around £400. However, if he doesn't sell, why don't you make him an offer?

i was just wondering, trying to get an idea of what and what isnt a good deal.

Sometimes it boils down to how much you want something and whether or not you can get the same thing but cheaper. Personally, I wouldn't fork out £40 million for a painting by Vincent Van Gough, but other people think its worth it.

good old craiglist, the land of opportunity, a little example, i found a 60g with over 500$ worth of gear for 30$, so i will guarantee you can do better.

Criaglist can have some good deals on big tanks that people can't have anymore because of moving, downsizing, need the money, etc. I say offer the guy $475 and tell him you can come by with cash to pick the tank up today, see what happens.

For example here is a tank in my area thats not a bad deal to start with and some Oscars would look good in.
